Chris Dutton has been a licensed Realtor since 2008. He grew up in family of real estate auctioneers and developers that date back to 1959. His own career in real estate began in construction and development, most notably his role in creating a 36-acre golf course community in eastern Ohio. Chris assisted in designing new homes and managing both the infrastructure and residential construction. He moved to the Columbus market in 2010 to work in property management and leasing, and continued that role for 5 years. As a third-party manager, he assisted in managing a portfolio of over 30 owners and nearly 400 units that included condos, apartment buildings and single-family homes throughout central Ohio. He was instrumental in directing the lease end / “student turnover” of 50 off-campus properties in the student neighborhoods of Ohio State’s campus. Currently Chris is working in residential sales, and commercial sales & leasing.
Beyond his commitments in real estate, Chris is the Associate Director of theiBELIEVE Foundation, an organization that provides leadership training and opportunities to Appalachian high school students. Since his involvement in 2012, iBELIEVE has sent over 500 kids to camp across Appalachian Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Every summer in July, Chris spends a weekend working at his family’s campground in Belmont, Ohio for Jamboree in the Hills, a 4-day country music festival founded in 1977.
When not working or volunteering, Chris follows Pittsburgh sports, plays acoustic guitar and travels as much as possible. Chris and his wife are homeowners in the Olde Town East neighborhood, and they’re proud of their commitment to the sustainable growth of one of Columbus’ most beautiful neighborhoods. They are also proud of their bulldog, Harvey, for his commitment to staying out of the kitchen trash. He and his wife met in Athens, Ohio while they were both attending
The Pub on Court Street Ohio University.
